I wrote the article under the pseudonym "Warren Donovan" to avoid the wrath of CAA chief Michael Ovitz and his foot soldiers. Although at the time I was an absolute nothing, a pisher amongst pishers, my real name would have been at least vaguely familiar to him as the editor of a the Celebrity Bulletin, a entertainment newsletter that crossed his desk daily. On the slim chance this piece was read by one of his minions, I didn't want the connection to be made.
